The author of “The Surfer’s Guide To Marketing”, Randy brings more than 15 years of experience in marketing, promotions and multiplatform activations working in sports and entertainment. His new book features informative marketing strategies, proven tactics and case studies, interviews with some of the most successful business owners, entrepreneurs and creative minds, and integrates everything via a humorous approach set against the world of surfing.
Currently, Rovegno serves as the founding partner at LONGBOARD Marketing where he creates award-winning dynamic promotions and marketing campaigns across on-air, on-site, digital, social, mobile, and guerrilla initiatives for some of the largest content companies in the world including ESPN, ABC, Sprint, Disney, NFL, and more. Prior to building multimillion dollar agencies, Rovegno worked as Director of Marketing for Fox Cable Networks where he oversaw marketing efforts for a portfolio including FOX, Fox Sports Net, FX, National Geographic Channel, Speed Channel, Fuel and more.
The creative specialist has developed award-winning consumer and B2B campaigns that have earned Product-Of-The-Year honors, 12 MARK Awards, multiple Pro Max nods, ADDYs and more. He has championed marketing initiatives for some of the country’s largest spectacles including Super Bowls, Hollywood Red Carpet premieres and a portfolio of celebrities and athletes including Jerry Rice, Michael Jordan, Drew Brees, George Lopez, and Wayne Gretzky.
The native Californian is a graduate of Arizona State University, where he earned a B.A. in communication. He is a longtime resident of Redondo Beach and his passion for surfing should not be judged by his far too frequent wipeouts.
